JFLA Zero-Interest Vocational School and Community College Education Loan Program

At JFLA, we believe education should be accessible to everyone, which is why we offer zero-interest, zero-fee loans to students pursuing degrees, diplomas, or certificates at Vocational Schools, Trade Schools, Community Colleges, Junior Colleges, or Extension Schools.

Eligible students must be enrolled part-time or full-time in an accredited program or trade organization. Applicants can receive up to $5,000 with one qualified guarantor or up to $10,000 with two qualified guarantors, and guarantors do not need to be parents, they can be any qualified individual.

Whether you're starting your educational journey, building new skills, or training for a career, our loans are designed to support your success without the financial burden of high interest student loans.

Can I get financial aid if my trade school program is less than one year?

Yes, the length of the program does not affect your eligibility for a trade school loan through JFLA.

Do I need to be enrolled full-time to get trade school loans?

Part-time students are eligible to apply. You do not need to be enrolled as a full-time student in order to be eligible for a JFLA trade school loan.

Are online trade school program students eligible for vocational training loans from JFLA?

JFLA's vocational loan eligibility focuses on enrollment in an accredited program or trade organization at vocational schools, trade schools, community colleges, junior colleges, or extension schools. Our loan program eligibility does not exclude online programs. Applicants should contact JFLA directly at info@jfla.org to confirm eligibility for their specific online program, provided it meets accreditation requirements.

Can I get a trade school loan with bad credit?

Yes. Credit requirements apply to guarantors, but not borrowers directly. A guarantor must be at least 25 years old, a resident of the US, have a steady income, and have a credit score of 620+ in order to be used for a JFLA loan.

Are trade school loans available for LGBTQ students?

Yes. The "Jewish" in Jewish Free Loan refers to a foundational idea in the bible that the charging of interest on a loan to a person in need, is not in his or her best interest and is therefore, prohibited. JFLA applies the wisdom of that idea to all its clients, regardless of their religion, ethnicity, race, ability, gender, etc. JFLA provides zero-interest loan eligibility to all applicants regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

When do I start paying back my trade school loan?

Our trade school loan terms at JFLA are simple: Repayment starts 30-45 days after the funds are deposited into your bank account, and you pay back exactly what you borrow. Loans must be paid back in 24-36 months.
