Everyone Deserves the Right to Build a Family

“Everyone deserves the right to build a family,” said Betsy Campbell, chief engagement officer for RESOLVE, the National Infertility Association. “Cost should not be a barrier to getting the care you need.”

Treating infertility or preserving future fertility is an expensive undertaking. For many, the path is difficult and emotionally taxing.

According to the CDC, about 9-12% of all men and women of reproductive age have experienced problems with infertility. However, many more are choosing to delay starting a family due to financial concerns, career opportunities as well as wanting to find the right partner. Whatever the reason an individual seeks treatment, the costs are absolutely staggering.

One full round of IVF can cost as much as $20,000 depending on the course of action needed. Most insurance providers do not cover more than the initial diagnosis. While many medical advances have been made to help individuals conceive, the biggest challenge is the cost of the very treatments that will help them create future children.

The Jewish Free Loan Association hopes to relieve the financial burden that expenses related to fertility can place on men, women and couples.

Thanks to the Feit 4 KidZ Fertility Loan Fund, started in 2013 by Emily and Alan Feit, JFLA can help individuals and couples in LA, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties who are struggling to pay for any treatments related to fertility; medications, ultrasounds, blood tests, egg freezing, donor eggs and sperm, IUI and IVF cycles and surrogacy.

JFLA offers up to $20,000 to individuals and couples seeking financial assistance for fertility treatments and more. The process is confidential and straightforward. These online personal loans have 0% interest, no fees, and manageable monthly payment.

This financial assistance allows individuals to keep options open for the future. It allows women more time to think about having kids later in life. It eases the minds of couples that are facing illness and need to make decisions about preserving fertility quickly. It gives assurance to families who are facing infertility and cannot afford a second try at building a family.
