JFLA offers zero-interest, zero-fee student loans specifically to help nursing and medical students like you invest in your professional development without the stress of high-interest debt.

Loan Details for Nursing and Medical Students

  • Loan Amount: Nursing and medical students can apply for up to $10,000 per school year.
  • Renewal: Students may apply to renew their loan once per year by providing proof of full-time enrollment. Please note that simply providing proof of enrollment does not automatically renew the loan. Each application is reviewed by our Student Loan Committee, and approval for one school year does not guarantee future loan approval.
  • Repayment Schedule:
    • $150/month while in school
    • $225/month during the first year after graduation
    • $375/month until the loan is repaid

Important Note: JFLA’s student loans are not forgivable in any federal loan forgiveness program.

Our loans can assist with:

  • Tuition and Fees: Cover the cost of enrolling in advanced degree programs or certification courses.
  • Educational Materials: Purchase necessary textbooks, online resources, and equipment, like computers, internet/phone bills.
  • Licensing and Exam Fees: Pay for state licensing, board exams, or recertification costs.
  • Continuing Education: Attend workshops, seminars, or conferences to stay updated in your field.

By alleviating the financial barriers to further education, JFLA enables you to focus on what matters most—enhancing your skills and providing exceptional care to your patients.
