Joe and Jeri
We are Joe and Jeri Connolly, and we are forever grateful to the Jewish Free Loan Association (JFLA). As both donors and recipients of JFLA’s services, we can’t fully express the profound impact they’ve had on our lives.
Our journey with JFLA began in the late 1980s when we first heard about the organization. At that time, we became donors while participating in the Los Angeles Marathon. In the late 1990s, unimaginable tragedy struck when we lost our 10-year-old son. JFLA became a lifeline, offering compassion and support that carried us through. Over the years, they’ve stood by us through many challenges—most recently when unfair treatment by a landlord left us in a precarious situation. Beyond financial assistance, JFLA restored our confidence and empowered us to rebuild.
Thanks to their support, we’ve been able to dream again. A long-held aspiration to contribute to the 2028 Olympics as a community activist now feels within reach. JFLA has reignited our hopes and given us the strength to pursue a brighter future.
The Jewish Free Loan Association is so much more than financial aid—they’re a beacon of resilience and compassion, helping to create a stronger community. Their unwavering belief in people has changed our lives, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
